About me - It's what I do!

Hi, I'm Chris Jones the owner of this site. Just prior to the World Wide Web explosion I was charter fishing along the Great Barrier Reef.

I saw opportunity to enhance my charter business by using the Internet. Unfortunately back in those early days no one around my area knew anything about the code that produced the page content, not letting this defeat me I embarked to learn the code that produces the content, my first experience was an add-on from Microsoft called "Internet Assistant" a crude html editor similar to notepad, after searching I found a company in Melbourne, "Sausage Software" producing html software. I purchased their first version "Hotdog". I still use their later versions today, it produces excellent code unlike the "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) editors of today.

I also use "Macromedia Dreamweaver" software to control my templates and edit some websites. Over the years my knowledge and experience has grown to include additional scripting languages like Java, XML, Visual Basic, PHP and MySQL. I have designed and written several web sites including ecommerce back-ended shopping carts, database driven website that display information from real time sources. Most of my designs are now hosted on my own webserver, it's a one stop shop from design to hosting and all necessary maintenance to provide hassle free affordable solution, If your requiring assistance or solution for your business with any IT solution than give me a call.

Web design and development

We can design and develop website's using Contact Management System. We use products like Joomla and Mambo open source software. By incorporating CMS into your design you have total control over the look and feel of your website, you can add or delete any content simply by using your web browser. If time and resources are a problem and CMS isn't your best option I can design your site using more traditional methods make all the necessary changes.

What is Avactis Shopping Cart Software?

Avactis shopping cart is a software package that allows you to open an online store on the Internet. It comprises two parts - a client side and an administrator side. The client side is your website as seen by visitors.
